While all books should be read as a whole, and not as isolated chapters out ot context of the book, It is important intially to read a book as a whole to ensure that quotations are in context. However it is then possible to quickly navigate on screen from chapter to chapter by using the table of contents links. Pages are numbered to facilitate accurate citations that match the print versions of the same book. This is still the case if there is not parallel print version.
