Christian Higher Education Journal

CPCHEA has entered into a partnership with this evangelical journal which is non-denominational and non-faith tradition.
This journal is currently sponsored by Texas A&M University in the United States and CPCHEA has accepted an offer to co-sponsor it. This does not involve economic support because the journal’s publisher in England, Taylor & Francis, supports the journal 100% financially.
In this partnership, CPCHEA through its Director (or a person recommended by CPCHEA’s Governing Council) serves on the journal’s editorial board. The masthead of the CHE journal in future will read "Co-sponsored by CPCHEA."
Through this partnership CHE will be an automatic publisher of papers accepted by CPCHEA provided they have to do with Christian Higher Education and conform to CHE requirements.
However, this partnership does not entail discontinuation of the online African Journal for Transformational Scholarship (AJTS) sponsored by CPCHEA but a reciprocal support of it by CHE Journal ( by way of promotion). AJTS is also peer reviewed and welcomes international contributions but requires that contributions have an African focus (see attached principles of AJTS). It is published as a digital edition and available without cost for African subscribers.
In view of the cost of printed journals for many in Africa, by mutual consent between CPCHEA and CHE on a case by case basis, the same article may be published in both journals with the proviso that access to the AJTS version of this article is restricted to Africa.more

Faculty enrichment programme

The recognition of competing world views in the university set up motivated us to think of Faculty Enrichment Programmes for those teaching both in Christian and secular universities in the African regions. This does not exclude theological institutions.
We are facilitating each region to organise their own FEPs as they assess their need. From here we are going to encourage inter-regional exchanges and discussions on the same to forge what may be Africaís way forward in the area. For our present purpose we intend explain the nature of world views, underscore the competing world views in the university, establish the biblical world view and demonstrate how this concept can support constructive teaching in the university classroom.More
